That is quite bad, bless him for attempting metaphor though.
Maybe I look for the good in everyone a little too hard, but I allowed myself a little smile on seeing his comments about his wife having sacrificed for too long and getting whatever she wants now (paraphrasing obv) - he obviously loves her to distraction and the humanity of that really touched me somehow.
