Londoners for Liberty
Exciting scenes in at least some London Underground stations as they became overrun by beer and mobile phone-brandishing revellers protesting against the tube drinking ban starting midnight tonight.
The Circle line is currently suspended in one direction, subject to severe delays in the other and Liverpool Street Station is shut completely.
There were at least 40 people at Tower Hill stations, 20 inside the station itself photographing themselves drinking beer and a further 20 standing outside chanting "Boris, Boris, Boris" and cheering. As of 10:15 or so, more were arriving all the time!

It's quite unfortunate for people to be protesting against something like this. A sad reflection on society?
